We explore how Indigenous teachings can inform contemporary art practice, with an emphasis on personal identity and community stories. Participants are supported in developing their own visual language and leave with a completed painting that reflects their unique perspective.
2. Introduction to Indigenous Beadwork
A welcoming, beginner-friendly workshop focused on the cultural significance and foundational techniques of beadwork. Participants learn about traditional patterns, colour teachings, and the role of beadwork in community life. Guided step-by-step instruction ensures everyone leaves with a completed piece, whether earrings, a medallion, or a simple floral motif. All materials are provided.
